Who is it for?
Whether you are looking for transforming into a fantasy character, or for a simple new profile pic, you are single or a happy couple, mum of two or dog mum, an artist, a musician, a band, a family, young or old - it does not matter, as long as you find something for yourself in my style. I will try my best to make you comfortable and to create a safe space for you to be yourself in.
If you are a cosplayer, or a creative looking for a mutually beneficial collaboration I am always open to discuss what we could create together, provide props or offer location scouting.
Where do we meet?
I am based just across from the Isle of Skye so if you have a nearby location in mind, I can drive out and meet you there. Otherwise I can suggest a few wonderful locations, best suited to your dream session. I am always happy to discuss travelling further as well, depending on the schedule.
What do I need to bring?
Depending on the session tier, you will either have your own outfit or idea of what you’d like to wear / the vibe you want us to bring to the function, or we will have an in-depth discussion on how we will design or choose your costume from my wardrobe. My library of props is vast so fear not if you are travelling without your favorite suit of armour - chances are I have it in my collection, and I am happy to pack my wagons and meet you on location. Either way, we can discuss your preferences during the precall.
What if the weather is dreadful?
If your travel arrangements fail due to weather we will aim to reschedule your session. Unless we have a particular vision in mind, or need fair flying weather for the drone, or you have health concerns, there is no issue carrying on with our session. My gear is weatherproof and we can discuss alternative sites should the forecast be apalling. Scottish weather can be fickle but the moodiness only adds to its magic.
What if I have to cancel?
Things happen, plans change, I understand. I’m always happy to try and rebook your session to another time if that is a choice. However cancellations with less than 24h notice or no-shows will be charged the whole balance of the session.
Who owns the copyright to the photos?
Dark Coastal Tales - Kat Wlodarczyk owns full copyright to the photographs taken and they might be used on my socials, promotions, commercial product and website, and once the edited gallery is handed over to you, you are free to use them as you please, but if you apply any edits of your own this must be clearly stated. If the photos I have taken of you are ever published, full credit should be given. I will never share raw unedited material.
How will I receive my photos?
After I’ve selected and edited your agreed number of images, they will be uploaded to a digital gallery, to which you will receive a link and a pin code, allowing you to download your images. You will be informed how long you have to download your gallery.
Is there anything you wouldn’t work with?
If there is anything I would not be comfortable with working on I will make it clear after the precall, but I am happy to dicuss all concepts at that stage.
What is the price?
Your preferred tier will decide the price ballpark, and props, costume extras and any extra shooting time will be additional. If your concept does not fit any of the preset tiers please get in touch via the form and we can discuss the details - I’m always happy to adapt to your idea where schedule and my skills allow.

I am a firm believer in asking a million questions to be prepared so please do not be shy if you are uncertain about anything. I am always lurking on IG and happy to answer any informal questions there, otherwise feel free to send your enquiries via email.

Reservation payment of 20% will be taken on confirmation of your booking. The remainder of the payment is due on the day of the session.
A basic service contract will be signed at the reservation stage to protect both of us.

Unless included in the the tier, extra props are £20 each, and unless we have to hike up a mountain and carry it all, there is no limit to how many you can pick. The use of full suit of armour including chainmaille and helmet is £80 per session.
